DETROIT, Oct. 3, 2023 - - American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM), (NYSE: AXL) was recently named a 2023 SmartWay High Performer in the shipping category by the Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA’s SmartWay program helps companies advance supply chain sustainability by measuring, benchmarking and improving freight transportation efficiency.

The SmartWay High Performer Shipper award recognizes top shippers for improving the efficiency of their transportation operations, using the most environmentally efficient ranked carriers and meeting emissions criteria. Companies making the list set industry standards by including freight in their sustainability outreach, planning and progress.
