AAM is one of the most responsible companies in America, according to Newsweek’s third annual list of America’s Most Responsible Companies.

The list, compiled by global research and data firm Statista, recognizes corporations that take environmental and social responsibilities more seriously than others. The list includes 499 of the largest public corporations operating in 14 industries.

AAM is one of just 21 automakers and suppliers recognized on the list.

AAM works each day to create a safer, brighter and more sustainable future for local communities, customers and employees and is committed to continuing the mission of being a leading corporate citizen around the globe.

Newsweek and Statista compiled the list by selecting the 2,000 largest public companies by revenue in the U.S. Only companies that had published a Corporate Responsibility/Sustainability Report were considered.

They then performed a detailed analysis of the companies focusing on publicly available performance data in the environmental, social and corporate governance categories. Finally, a survey was conducted asking 11,000 U.S. citizens about their perceptions of the companies related to corporate social responsibility. All elements were weighted to produce a final score.

This is the second year AAM was named to the list.

During 2021, AAM advanced many areas of its sustainability mission. Set to be highlighted in the 2022 AAM Sustainability Report, the company focused on environmental activities, diversity initiatives and community support.  For more information on AAM’s sustainability activities visit www.aam.com/sustainability.
