Team AAM Partners with United Way to EmPOWER Communities

Team AAM is committed to emPOWERing the communities in which we live, work and play across the globe. We are excited to share that our team was recently recognized by both the United Way for Southeastern Michigan and the St. Joseph County United Way for our time and resource contributions throughout the last year.

The United Way’s mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good. The organization focuses on increasing community access to the building blocks for a good quality life and a strong community: education, income and health.

In 2016, Team AAM donated more than $200,000 to the United Way for Southeastern Michigan to support the emPOWERment efforts taking place in the community our WHQ calls home. In addition to monetary contributions, leaders from Team AAM, including Executive Director of Government Affairs and Community Relations Bill Smith, have served on the organization’s Campaign Cabinet to help drive the organization’s fundraising efforts.

Team AAM from our Three Rivers Manufacturing Facility also earned the #2 spot on the top 10 St. Joseph County United Way contributors list this past year. Our associates’ contributions helped the organization raise a grand total of more than $880,000. Team AAM was honored, along with the rest of the top 10, at a ceremony earlier this month.
